Massage can best be defined as the “scientific manipulation of the body tissues performed primarily with the hands for therapeutic purposes” Massage has both a physiological and psychological effect on the recipient.   Applied as a stand alone treatment or in combination with other techniques it can have a beneficial and often profound effect.

Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy

Sports & Remedial massage therapy helps to prepare and maintain your body for optimal performance. It is suitable for all levels of Athlete or indeed non athlete and is used by many of my patients to create a feeling of ease and general well being. Many of the techniques used can relieve or eradicate such problems as sciatica, whiplash, and many other non-specific chronic aches and pains. If you are on a maintenance treatment plan to compliment your training and competition schedule specific areas will be treated. For example if you’re a marathon runner the back neck and shoulders may also be treated in addition to your legs. Rather than following a set routine treatments and techniques will be applied to address any problem areas or injuries as required. Generally treatment sessions will be 25, 55 or 85 minutes in duration, other times are available by arrangement.

Body Massage

This type of massage is best suited to those who want more of a psychological benefit from their massage. Techniques used will be similar but applied with a lighter touch and will follow more of a routine.

Hydrotherm Massage

The ultimate in relaxation, portability and truly holistic massage. Whilst laying on your back, covered with towels and warmed from the water cushions beneath, you receive a 3 dimensional treatment using your bodyweight to give the perfect depth of massage; sports and remedial to relaxation massage is available without ever turning over!

Perfect for those who prefer to lay on their back, avoid face holes and pressure on their breathing. Also ideal for clients with unique needs e.g. pregnant clients and those with mobility problems.

Reiki Healing

Treatments usually last an hour and will involve some discussion regarding the problems or imbalances you are currently experiencing. Please contact for further details.

Workshops for attunement to Reiki first degree (level one) are available in small groups throughout the year. Please contact for dates and cost.

Energy Massage

Holistic massage is a combination of therapeutic massage techniques and healing, including chakra balancing if found to be required. A minimum of one hour will be required for this relaxing yet uplifting treatment.

Equine Healing and Equine Massage

We do not have facilities to accommodate horses or dogs on site, so a home or stable visit will be required in addition to any treatment costs there is a minimum call out fee of £10. We are also happy to treat your canine friends.
